Curl Bar - Skull Crushers (Incline Bench)

Skull crushers are arguably the best exercise for growing and strengthening your triceps, along side Dumbbells - Seated French Press.

Using an incline bench is my favorite variation for Skull Crushers, but can also be performed on decline and flat bench press.

Video Demonstration:


  • Feet planted for stability.

  • Shoulder blades squeezed before laying back on bench for further stability.

  • Core tight, arms locked from shoulder to elbow.

  • Bring the curl bar down right above your head for full extension of the triceps.

  • Fire into flexion holding proper form.

  • Repeat until failure of strength or proper form.


Strengthening your triceps will result in a stronger bench press and shoulder press because of the triceps synergistic efforts when doing any exercise that involves pressing with your upper body.
