Humble Beginnings

Updated: Jul 6, 2020

Never let anything you can't control destroy you. Amid a pandemic, I found a way to take the biggest first step of my life.

It takes a lot of courage to take that first step toward the future of your dreams. When you realize there isn't ever going to be that "perfect" moment, and start taking action, the rest is history. Make the grind mandatory, and become comfortable with being uncomfortable. That's when you know you're heading in the right direction.

Becoming a business owner has been a dream of mine for the last 4 years, but never did I plan on starting it amid a pandemic. Fitness has always played a huge role in my life, now I have found a way to share my knowledge and passion of fitness with the world.

With being unemployed and having endless free time during this pandemic, I decided to invest my money into assets for my business. I took the pandemic stimulus payments and purchased a high-end camera and a laptop to help jump start the beginning stages of my business. I started working diligently on creating valuable content and my businesses website so I would be in the best position to succeed when the limitations of the pandemic were lifted.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, my good friend, coach, and mentor, Jeremy Fox, has helped guide me in the right direction. With his knowledge and experience running an online business, I learned and continue to learn something new about how to run a business successfully by simply being in the same environment as him.

With gyms closed during the pandemic, Jeremy and I spent countless hours scheming and brainstorming ideas for each other’s businesses while training in his personal gym (a utility shed in his backyard), making due with the equipment we had available to us. Like any new venture in life, the first step is always the hardest. With Jeremy’s help, that first step was easy. Now with the pandemic slowing down and the reopening of gyms, I've never felt more confident to launch my first business.
